choose from the following neighborhoods

Chinatown

first pic

One of the country's real, working Chinatown is also one of the most popular, visited by millions each year.

The neighborhood boasts a dual identity, as both residents and visitors can find themselves immersed within a different world immediately when crossing into the narrow streets of Chinatown. Signs are no longer in only English, garlic, ginger and rich stocks deliver an idea of the delights from street vendors and restaurants.

Haight

first pic

Once the home of the psychedelic movement in America, the Haight has evolved into a hip neighborhood with trendy restaurants, acclaimed markets, and great independent shops.

Some of the 1960s relics can be found today, such as piercing salons and counterculture bookstores, helping create its unique culture.

Japantown

A compact area sometimes overlooked by visitors, Japantown offers some of the most authentic Japanese cuisine anywhere in the country.

Only six square blocks in size, the neighborhood makes up for it in culture and cuisine, boasting events throughout the year, and all types and styles of Japanese food.

Mission

Restaurants and bars are plentiful in the mission, providing a duality of an ethnic enclave and an exciting hotspot for dining and drinking in a number of ways.

The diversity of the city is evident along the historic streets of the Mission District, where Latino Bakeries and Delis neighbor trendy spots showcasing modern regional cuisine.

The Marina

A fashionable place for younger professionals to eat, drink and play, the Marina boasts an increasing number of restaurants to serve the community and its many visitors.

With beautiful views of the bay and Golden Gate Bridge, combined with traditional San Francisco architecture, it's an exciting and inviting place to enjoy a meal or evening out.

Nob Hill

first pic

The picturesque, classic San Francisco neighborhood offers remarkable views and some of the city's most well known buildings and landmarks.

A combination of historic and modern, the area combines upscale establishments with long standing storefronts in a successful and unforgettable way. Enjoy great views and great food and drink when visiting the neighborhood.

North Beach

first pic

The area marries two very different cultures together and creates one of the city's landmark neighborhoods.

San Francisco's Little Italy can still be seen and experienced, even after a century, by enjoying a cappuccino at a caffe, fresh pasta at a ristorante, or pizza at a local bakery.

Also in the North Beach is the remains of a strong bohemian culture, originating back from the 1950s, and still visible today.

SoMa

first pic

Unlike many of the residential neighborhoods, SoMa inherited a number of warehouses and unique urban spaces that have been retrofitted with lofts, modern dining, great bars and clubs.

From discounted merchandise to white linen dining, the neighborhood provides much to choose from.

Upper Market

first pic

Serviced by historic streetcars, the neighborhood offers a great way to visit and enjoy without relying on automobiles.

A wave of new establishments made their way into the neighborhood, offering even more options for locals and visitors alike.
